You for certain paid attention, how impressing the wet, just washed car looks. Covered with water drops, it sparkles and poured on light, as new. Unfortunately, it lasts not for long, water dries, the body grows dull and there are appreciable all small risks and scratches.

The great variety of the most different preparations for care of a body and the salon, adding shine and light both old, and to new cars is issued. In films and telecasts it is possible to see often how good-natured Americans or Europeans carefully rub the favourites to mirror shine.

At our dirt on roads, especially in inter-season period, apparently, it is unreasonable to be spent for special shampoos and polyroles and to direct a lustre that through five minutes again to soil the car. Let's try to prove that the autocosmetics at us is necessary not less, and even more than in other countries. At least because it not only shining purity, it first of all – protection against external harmful effects which in our climatic belt it is enough: big differences of temperatures, "salt cocktail" in the winter, a dust, the sand scratching paint, as a nazhdachny skin, the stones leaving small cracks in enamel, – in the summer. Add to it acid rains which have already become reality, the ultra-violet radiation burning out color pigments from a paint and varnish covering and doing your car by faded and dim, bad quality of coloring of domestic cars.

Enamels on some are made of them on a water basis – such structure is less harmful in production (the ecology requirement). Autoshampoos on sale in the market can be divided into two groups conditionally: with the small and big content of wax. The first contain the dissolved surface-active substances "extending" (ekstragiruyushchy) from a surface dirt. Shampoo easily watches off, leaving a thin layer of wax. At the second the washing structure includes solvent, and the content of wax and polymers is higher on an order. In fact it is shampoo and a polyrole rolled into one. Such preparations are very popular in the Scandinavian countries, they are especially convenient for using late autumn, in the winter and in the early spring when because of low temperature it is difficult to put strongly thickened polyrole, – washed the car and a body is already processed. However convenience of use is inevitably reflected in the price – such shampoo usually in 2–5 times is more expensive than the usual.

To prevent formation of spots at non-uniform drying and располировать wax, it is recommended to wipe a body a soft fabric, and best of all artificial suede which is on sale separately in a plastic case. It will serve to you not one year. After a sink it is possible to start processing of a paint and varnish covering. If the car was not processed by some years or in general never, probably, it is meaningful to apply a so-called reducer of color. If, at last having washed a body, you suddenly found traces of beginning corrosion, it is not necessary to despair: small spots easily are removed rust converters. They cooperate with a rust, leaving a film steady against further corrosion, – пассивируют metal and, as a rule, do not demand special preparation of a surface. Though process of transformation occurs directly in the face of, everything depends on the sizes of a spot and depth of penetration of corrosion. For large spots processing should be repeated several times with small breaks. After processing the damaged site will be necessary for tinting.

Now, when the body is completely prepared, it is possible to put a polyrole to give more shine to the car, and the main thing to protect a body from aggressive environment. Than to polish? A question rather difficult as this part of cosmetics for cars is presented most widely. Polyroles for a body, plastic slips and bumpers, for chrome and rims, colourless and with painting effect, liquid and pastelike, with abrasives and without – for all tastes and the sizes of a purse. There are, of course, the universal polyroles, adding shine to the painted panels, the bumpers, the chromeplated details, glass and even tires. They will interest the people caring first of all of appearance of the car and about the image more likely. But protective abilities of such preparations cannot be very high, after all properties of a surface of different materials strongly differ. For ideal protection each material demands processing by "the" certain structure.

So, body. For new cars new or nearly colourless polyroles are ideal, they are rather cheap and easy-to-use. Some of them contain teflon and the polymers of supersliding forming after polishing very smooth surfaces, dirt interfering sticking. If the car resembled much and its paint is speckled by scratches from sand and stones or the wrong sink, it is more preferable color polyroles. They are more dense, to put them a little more difficult, than colourless, but they well fill and mask small risks and attritions on enamel. However it is worth to remember that a polyrole – not paint and, in case of deep and wide scratches replace it cannot. Polyroles enter electrochemical reaction with a paint and varnish covering, for their complete "hardening" it is necessary about days therefore them put in garage or open-air in warm weather and, of course, not in the rain.


And about utility of cosmetics in our severe conditions. Agree, dirty, grown turbid after the winter, the glasses rubbed clean by "yard keepers" against a shining body look as "a cataract in an eye" in addition to go with such glasses is unsafe: through them it is badly visible the road, especially at night or at movement towards to the sun. With one careful washing not to remove an uncountable set of the scratches left sand, brushes of screen wipers, and also when lifting and lowering lateral glasses. Black plastic bumpers already soon become gray, dirt easily gets into a porous surface of plastic, and any shampoos it from there not to get any more. Specially for such cases let out a cleaner returning to a bumper "native" black color and at the same time covering its protective film.


For the chromeplated and aluminum details the means containing a small amount of abrasives, and polishing structures for shine giving are on sale. Them it is possible to process and rims though the preparations are developed for them. For special fans there are even means for care of tires.


Starting such "general cleaning", the sin not to take care of salon, after all we go not on, and in the car. One vacuum cleaner and a wet rag it is possible to achieve considerable results, however everything has the пределеы. For example, the forward panel, as well as black bumpers, has feature to grow dull and burn out on the sun and actually demands processing by any polyrole. To wash fabric seats and a fleecy upholstery of salon with water with laundry detergent it is possible, of course, if you have time and possibility to wait some days while they will dry, without using thus the car. As good alternative to it aerosol cleaners of an upholstery can serve. White foam is instantly absorbed, clears a fabric and very quickly dries, leaving a transparent protective layer, – casually spilled liquid is rather simple for wiping. The shortcoming unique, perhaps, – a big expense of means and respectively the high price of processing.

In the end the loaded question – and whether costs? Perhaps and so will descend? GAI benefit not strongly carps at appearance, and purity of the car influences technical parameters a little. But imagine that it is necessary to sell the car. On what the buyer first of all will pay attention? Correctly, at appearance will look, how a body – whether "rotten"? It is necessary to spend 10–20 dollars a year for autocosmetics not to worry at least in this occasion and, you see, to go in the pure, sparkling car it is much more pleasant. By the way, statistically, such cars have less often an accident. Why – I do not know, only the fact remains.
