Repair and car operation

The exhaust system of considered cars consists of a final collector, catalytic converter, the exhaust silencers, connecting pipes and details of their suspension bracket (arms, collars, pillows).

For maintenance of an exhaust system in good repair periodically check a condition of details. Check existence of the dispersed seams, burn-out and proyedaniye traces corrosion, and also other defects which are at the bottom of hit of exhaust gases in salon. The failed details are not subject to repair.

If details of system do not give in to removal because of прихвата owing to corrosion, it is necessary to remove them sharp. Usually this procedure is carried out in workshops by means of autogenous cutting. However, at desire to save on cost of these works and in the absence of own gas-welding equipment, резку it is possible to execute a hacksaw.

At repair of an exhaust system observe the following rules:

1. Details of an exhaust system remove one after another, since terminal section and finishing forward section.

2. To facilitate an otvorachivaniye of nuts and bolts grease them with getting liquid.

3. At replacement of pipes and exhaust silencers surely replace details of their suspension bracket.

4. At assembly grease all carvings with fixing structure.

5. Between the bottom of a body and exhaust pipes there should be a gap to prevent an overheat of the bottom and destruction of an anticorrosive covering and a rug. Special attention at assembly give to installation of converter and a heatinsulating guard.
