3.2.9. Removal and engine installation

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Execute actions for a decompression of fuel system (see subsection 6.10) and disconnect the battery from weight.
2. Remove a cowl, the air filter and air lines.
3. Merge liquid and oil from the engine and a check point.
	4. Accurately designate and disconnect from the engine all hoses, wires and cables, including cables of a kick-down-mode and cruise control. Fuel hoses muffle.
5. Remove a radiator (except the M40 engine), the fan (see subsection 4.6) and a casing.
6. Remove drive belts.
7. Remove the compressor, take aside and fix, without disconnecting from highways.
8. Remove a starter and the generator.
9. Remove an exhaust system (see subsection 7.1.1).
10. On and/m from an automatic transmission remove hydrotransformer fastening to a leading disk. On the M40 engine turn on from the pallet of the union of tubes of a cooler of transmission liquid.
11. Assign engine hooks a chain or таль. If hooks are removed, a chain it is possible to assign hairpins of a soaking-up collector, having laid a big washer and having tightened a nut.
12. Choose a weak point in a waist (chain).
13. On engines M10 and М20 remove a back cross-piece and slightly lower a back part of a check point.
14. Unscrew bolts of fastening of a check point to the engine.
15. Unscrew nuts of fastening of support of the engine to a stretcher. On M40 engines unscrew bolts and remove from support dampers.
16. Be convinced that all details connecting the engine to a body or transmission are removed. All remained details designate and remove.
17. Slightly raise the engine and carefully submit it forward and deduce from a check point. On and/m from an automatic transmission track the hydrotransformer. If the hydrotransformer descends together with the engine, remove it from the crankshaft, otherwise leave it on transmission. Lift the engine and deduce from a motor compartment.
Prevention If the hydrotransformer descends together with the engine, at assembly replace a forward epiploon of transmission as it can be damaged.
	18. Remove a flywheel (a leading disk) and a back intensifying plate.

Installation

Installation is carried out upside-down. On and/m from an automatic transmission before assembly establish the hydrotransformer on a check point, and then establish on a leading disk. On and/m from a manual transmission before assembly grease a sock of primary shaft of a check point with refractory greasing. Fill the conditioner with a coolant and check tightness of highways.
