3.2.17. Intermediate shaft (only M20 engine)

GENERAL INFORMATION

This shaft is intended for a drive of the oil pump.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a gear belt.
2. Unscrew bolts of a gear wheel of a shaft and bolts of a forward cover.
3. Remove the roller of a drive of the oil pump (see subsection 3.1.15).
4. The intermediate shaft fastens to the block a flange with 2 bolts. Unscrew these bolts and get a shaft.
5. At detection of wear of rubbing surfaces of a shaft pierce a shaft in car-care center. Especially attentively examine a back part of a shaft which it adjoins to the roller of a drive of the oil pump.
