3.1.10. Covers of a gear belt (engines M20 and М40)

Removal and installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect the battery from weight.

2. Remove the coupling and a casing of the fan of system of cooling.

3. On the M20 engine remove a radiator.

4. Remove a pulley of a belt of a drive of the fan.

5. Disconnect wires of the sensor of turn of the crankshaft which on a cover of a gear belt and take aside (if the sensor is provided).

6. On a part of cars uncover the ignition distributor.

7. Remove a begunok.

8. Remove a plastic casing of black color under a begunok.

9. Remove the bottom pulley of a belt of the fan and a pulley-uspokoitel. At an otpuskaniye peripheral fastenings of bolts of pulleys hold a key the central bolt.

10. Unscrew bolts and nuts of fastening of covers to the engine, remove at first top, then bottom covers (M20 engine).

Unscrew bolts and nuts of fastening of covers to the engine, remove at first top, then bottom covers (M40 engine).
Prevention
Track safety of directing plugs of the top bolts of a cover.

11. Assembly is carried out upside-down.
