GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

Works are carried out on the cold engine at observance of precautionary measures (antifreeze is poisonous).

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Unscrew a stopper of a mouth of a radiator or a broad tank.
2. Substitute the pallet and two flat-nose pliers unscrew a drain stopper of a radiator (it is specified by an arrow) and merge liquid. If the stopper is not provided, disconnect from a radiator the bottom hose.
3. Check a condition of hoses and collars of system of cooling.

Washing

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Wash out a radiator a stream at its finest (deletes only a deposit), if necessary wash out special detergent (deletes rust stratifications). If to wash out a radiator it is not possible, or if there are appreciable damages and a leak, remove a radiator and hand over in repair.
2. Disconnect a tank hose, merge liquid, wash out a tank and dress a hose.

Filling of cooling liquid

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Tighten a drain stopper or attach a hose.
4-cylinder engines
2. Fill in liquid (in the ratio 60/40 waters and antifreeze) before radiator filling. Fill in liquid in a tank to the bottom mark.
3. Without closing a stopper a radiator, warm up the engine before thermostat opening (it is felt on heating of the top hose).
4. Stop the engine and after cooling fill in liquid to edge of a mouth. On the M40 engine unscrew a cap of a ventilating opening at the top of a radiator and add liquid to a liquid effluence. Wrap a cap.
5. Press on the top hose, having removed with that air then wrap a radiator stopper.
6. Warm up the engine and be convinced of lack of a leak.
6-cylinder engines
7. Unscrew a cap of a ventilating opening on the thermostat (it is specified by an arrow).
8. Fill in liquid (in the ratio 60/40 waters and antifreeze) to an effluence from a ventilating opening. Tighten a cap.
9. Establish a radiator stopper, warm up the engine before thermostat opening (it is felt on heating of the top hose) and having slightly released a ventilating cap, let the air out. Tighten a cap after the termination of an exit of vials.
10. Repeat procedure before complete removal of air.
