7.2.1. Introduction

Into structure of system of decrease in toxicity of considered cars enter:
– catalytic converter;
– catching system паров gasoline (EVAP system);
– system of compulsory ventilation of a case (PCV system);
– system of automatic control of the engine.
The device of system depends on a car complete set. Before drawing a conclusion on malfunction of system of decrease in toxicity, carefully check work of fuel system (see subsection 6.3) and ignition systems (see subsection 3.3.6.2). For diagnostics of some devices of system certain skills, and also special tools and the equipment are required. If it will become clear that check and repair of system cannot be executed independently, address in a workshop of car-care center of the dealer or in a specialized workshop.
