6.8. Check and replacement of nozzles

Check on the car

1. Check work of nozzles as a stethoscope. Be convinced that frequency of operation of nozzles raises with increase in turns of the engine.
2. If clicks are listened badly, more exact check is provided with the light indicator. If the indicator is shone, but clicks are not present, the nozzle is faulty.
3. Check resistance of a nozzle, having disconnected the socket. If resistance of a nozzle does not correspond to norm, a nozzle replace.

Bench (imitating) tests of nozzles

These tests are carried out only in car-care center as the special equipment is required.


1. Open the main socket of conducting of nozzles and remove soaking-up collector (see subsection 3.1.6).
2. Disconnect from a regulator of pressure of fuel hoses and unscrew bolts of fastening of a regulator.
3. Disconnect from nozzles sockets and remove nozzles.
4. Installation is carried out upside-down. Replace ring laying. Before start-up of the engine restore pressure of fuel, having inserted into place a safety lock of the pump and having included ignition.
