6.6. Regulator of pressure of fuel

GENERAL INFORMATION

Regulator of pressure of fuel

The regulator is reported with a cavity of a soaking-up collector through a vacuum hose.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Execute a decompression.
2. Disconnect the battery from weight.
3. Disconnect from a regulator a fuel hose and on its place establish a manometer.
4. Attach the battery, connect the pump, include ignition and check existence of podtekaniye of fuel.
5. Attach the vacuum pump to the place of a vacuum hose, turn on the fuel pump. Consider pressure of fuel at depression creation on a regulator and without depression. Pressure of fuel should decrease in process of depression increase.
6. Attach a vacuum hose, start the engine and consider pressure of fuel idling. Disconnect a vacuum hose, – thus pressure should increase sharply.
7. If pressure low, press a return gasoline pipe line. If thus pressure does not increase, the fuel pump is faulty or the direct gasoline pipe line is littered. If pressure sharply increases, replace a pressure regulator.
8. If pressure too high, stop the engine, disconnect and blow a return gasoline pipe line. If the return gasoline pipe line is not littered, replace a pressure regulator.
9. If change of pressure does not correspond described, check depression on a regulator, having attached to the place of a vacuum hose the vacuum gage (the engine should idle).
10. If depression is, a regulator of pressure replace. Otherwise believe tightness of a hose and the union on vacuum connection.

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Execute a decompression and disconnect the battery from weight.
2. Disconnect from a regulator return fuel and vacuum hoses. Unscrew bolts of fastening (shooters) and remove a regulator.
3. Installation is carried out upside-down. Replace ring laying.
