3.3.6.6. Shaper of impulses and block of electronic ignition

On considered cars blocks of electronic ignition of 2 types which outwardly differ by number of sockets are established. At the block of Bosch firm 1 socket, at the Siemens/Telefunken firm block – 2 sockets. The shaper of impulses is mounted in the ignition distributor.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Block of electronic ignition
1. Check existence of tension of the battery at the included ignition between conclusions 2 and 4 disconnected the socket (Bosch) or 3 and 6 (Siemens/Telefunken).
2. Check chain existence between a conclusion 2 and weight (Bosch) or 6 and weight (Siemens/Telefunken), and also between conclusions of the socket 4 (Bosch) or 3 (Siemens/Telefunken) and a conclusion 15 on the ignition coil. If results of check unsatisfactory, check conducting.
Shaper of impulses
3. Connect the digital voltmeter to conclusions of the socket 5 and 6 (Bosch) or between conclusions of the small socket, observing polarity of the voltmeter (on the Siemens/Telefunken block) and be convinced that at engine rotation by a starter on these conclusions there is an alternating voltage of 1-2 Century. Otherwise check conducting.
4. Check resistance of the shaper between conclusions of 5 and 6 (Bosch) or between conclusions of the small socket (Siemens/Telefunken) which 1–1,2 kiloohms should be.
5. If resistance differs, the shaper replace. If resistance corresponds to norm, and supply voltage and a signal differ, replace the ignition block.

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Block of electronic ignition
1. Disconnect the socket from the block of electronic ignition, unscrew screws of fastening of the block and get the block from a motor compartment.
2. Installation is carried out upside-down. If the Bosch block changes, paste it to a heat-conducting path dielectric structure of Curil R2 (N according to the catalog 81 22 9 43) or silicone mastic, previously having cleared the remains of old glue a class 180 skin.
Shaper of impulses
3. Disconnect the battery from weight. Remove the ignition distributor.
4. Remove a lock ring, carefully, without allowing deformation, hook and get a shaper rotor.
5. Unscrew screws and disconnect a vacuum regulator.
6. Remove a lock ring and carefully remove the shaper with a plate.
7. Unscrew screws and remove the shaper from a plate.
8. Installation is carried out upside-down. Lay between a winding of the sensor of the shaper and a plate an insulating ring, center it before tightening screws. Adjust a gap in the sensor (see subsection 3.3.6.8).
