Removal and installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the battery from weight.
2. Remove the air filter (if the filter is mounted over a collector) and the sensor of speed of a stream.
3. Disconnect wires from candles and take aside.
4. Designate, disconnect and take aside all wires and hoses which complicate access to a collector. Disconnect wires from the oxygen sensor (if it is provided).

5. Lift a forward part of the car and establish on supports. Working under the car, disconnect a forward exhaust pipe. Disconnect nuts of fastening of a forward exhaust pipe (the M20 engine – drawing at the left) and a flange of a forward exhaust pipe (the M40 engine – drawing on the right).
6. Lower the car and unscrew bolts and collector nuts, having begun with the periphery and being displaced to the center. Moisten fastenings by getting liquid.
7. Remove a final collector, having taken measures to damaging the oxygen sensor (M40 engine).
8. Remove laying of a final collector (M40 engine).
9. Remove laying of a forward exhaust pipe to a collector.
10. Clear a collector of the consolidation remains, check a condition of carvings of hairpins of a collector.
11. Check existence on a collector of cracks, a buckling of the plane and other damages. The damaged collector repair or it is ground or replace.
12. Establish a collector upside-down, having replaced laying. Tighten bolts and nuts, tighten them with the set moment, being displaced from the center to the periphery.
