11.2.4. Steering mechanism

Removal and installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Lift a front of the car and remove wheels.
2. Designate position of the kardanny hinge of a steering shaft that at assembly not to break its initial installation. Unscrew a nut and a bolt of fastening of the lower part of the kardanny hinge to the steering mechanism. Unscrew a nut and a bolt of fastening of the top part of the hinge, submit the hinge up, deduce from gearing with shaft of a gear wheel of the steering mechanism and remove the hinge. Check a condition of the hinge and wear of the rubber coupling. At detection of signs of wear the hinge replace.
3. On cars with the hydraulic booster remove liquid from a tank.
4. Disconnect hoses from the steering mechanism, having unscrewed bolts of cap unions, and merge the liquid remains.
5. Disconnect tips of steering drafts.
	6. Unscrew nuts and bolts of an arm of the steering mechanism.
7. Get the steering mechanism from under the car, without allowing damage of covers.
8. Installation is carried out upside-down. At assembly combine the labels put before dismantling on the kardanny hinge, replace samopodzhimny nuts of fastening of the steering mechanism and laying of unions of hoses of the hydraulic booster. Tighten all connections with the set moments.
9. Lower the car, fill in liquid in a tank of the hydraulic booster and remove air (see subsection 11.2.6).
10. Upon termination of check corners of installation of wheels in car-care center.
